RESTRICTED INTERESTS & REPETITIVE PATTERNS OF BEHAVIOR

1. Encompassing preoccupation with one or more stereotyped and restricted patterns of interest that is abnormal either in intensity or focus.

In my case, that would be the Beatles. I, Yvonne, have talked about them endlessly since I was 4. Comic books are another interest that's been with me my entire life. My third favorite interest is cats. I have two cats, Storm and Cap, who are named after two comic book characters. No big surprise there.

2. Apparently inflexible adherence to specific, nonfucntional routines or rituals.

I love eating the same cereal every morning and usually this ritural goes on for weeks and months until I find another cereal on sale. Also, I love listening to rock music every morning.

3. Stereotyped and repetitive motor mannerisms (e.g. hand or finger flapping or twisting, or complex whole body movements).

I like to dance a lot at home to the rock and roll music every day.  Used to twittle my thumbs a lot too when I was a kid.

4. Persistant preoccupation with parts of objects.

This explains why I look at chairs and furniture a lot. It's good thing I like to hang out in furniture stores sometimes, but those salespeople are annoying. I also like to hang out in bookstores. I keep expecting to see a book with my name listed as the author on one of them.
